Better, not best
This was the 12th year that my mom and I attended "Stars on Ice". We opted out last year as the 2017 show was incredibly disappointing. However, the description for this year's show was a "Red, White and Blue Celebration on Ice" and we hoped for just that. It wasn't. They're trying but improvement is needed. There wasn't much "red, white and blue" and it didn't really have a patriotic theme. It was much better than the "Goth" of 2017. There was noticeable camaraderie between the skaters, which was nice. There wasn't much pizazz. The music was lively and the routines were cute. The absolute best shows were done years ago when "Smuckers" sponsored them. The skaters then were wonderful and the costumes were amazing. That's what made us return yearly. We think we've come to the point where it's not worth the cost and the long drive. But, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for the memories!
